Roots-rock trio Cody Canada and the Departed bring two nights of music to the River Valley later this month. The band will take the stage at 8 p.m. March 26, at SEVEN Bar inside Cherokee Casino and Hotel West Siloam Springs, and then will perform at 8 p.m. March 27, at Lee Creek Tavern inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland.
Both shows are free and open to the public ages 21 years and older.
Cody Canada and the Departed is a three-piece Americana roots-rock band based in New Braunfels, Texas, formed from the critically acclaimed Red Dirt rock group Cross Canadian Ragweed. Nowadays the band features frontman Cody Canada, bassist Jeremy Plato and drummer Eric Hansen. Canada and Plato, longtime bandmates from Cross Canadian Ragweed, reunited to form the Departed, joining forces with Hansen to create a high-energy sound rooted in Texas music traditions.
