BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – With spring officially underway and the weather getting warmer, it’s time to refresh your wardrobe.
Image consultant Tierra Virden, while appearing on Good day Alabama Weekend, said the season is all about bold, expressive style. Vibrant colors like sunshine yellow and tomato red to sheer layers and lightweight textures that add dimension to everyday looks.
“We are moving away from the soft neutrals and we are stepping into more expressive bold colors,” Virden said. “So designers have showcased across their collections colors like sunshine yellow, Klein blue and also tomato red.
She encourages everyone to embrace some color, even if it’s just one bold piece.
“That can be a blazer, a dress or a shoe, and that can help your outfit to look fresh, current and also stylish,” Virden said.
Virden also highlighted statement skirts and asymmetrical designs, along with soft tailoring that gives structure without feeling too formal. And for those who prefer comfort, the “sporty chic” trend blends athletic pieces with polished staples for a balanced, everyday outfit.
Her advice? Don’t be afraid to try something new this season, whether it’s adding a pop of color or mixing casual and tailored pieces.
She says even one standout item can instantly refresh your spring wardrobe.
