Point S Expansion Into Greece, Cyprus and Zambia


Point S began 2026, its 55th anniversary year, by launching operations in three new markets: Greece, Cyprus and Zambia.

Point S said the expansion extends the company’s turnkey retail model. That model combines tire sales with car service and broader automotive repair.

Master Franchise Agreements

Point S International signed a master franchise agreement in Greece with Tenora Techniki S.A. The company is a subsidiary of the Athens-based Tournikiotis family group. Founded more than 100 years ago, the group has more than 50 years of tire distribution experience. It also represents several international manufacturers.

Since the agreement was signed in late 2024, 11 franchise agreements have been completed. The first harmonized points of sale are scheduled to open on Crete at the end of 2025. The network is targeting about 30 centers across Greece in the medium term.

Building on the Greek rollout, Point S signed a master franchise agreement in Cyprus with Eltenor Ltd. The company is based in Limassol. Founded in 2015, Eltenor is a partnership between local entrepreneur Andreas Michael and the Tournikiotis group. The company has commercial reach across the Cypriot market.

Eltenor acts as the exclusive representative and distributor for a tire brand. It will combine that portfolio with Point S international supplier agreements. The first pilot point of sale is operated by Stathis Michael Tyre Centre Ltd in Limassol. The location is in the process of opening. Plans call for about 15 centers across Cyprus’s main towns in the medium term.

Zambia: Tyre King to Convert Selected Locations

Point S also partnered with Tyre King Enterprises Limited to establish its first presence in Zambia. Founded in 1995, Tyre King operates 15 branches across five cities. The company has 13 fully equipped service centers.

“The decision to join Point S was a natural step for us. We wanted to broaden our portfolio of services, access technical expertise not readily available locally and leverage the wealth of experience represented by the Point S brand,” said Karl O’Donohoe, representing Point S in Zambia. “The support of the Point S South Africa team played a key role in this decision.”

The transformation will begin with two points of sale. One location will open in Lusaka and another in Kitwe. Plans call for 10 to 12 Point S centers across Zambia’s five largest urban centers. These include Lusaka, Kitwe, Ndola, Chipata and Livingstone.

Point S said the three launches reflect a strategy of partnering with established local operators. These partners bring market knowledge, existing customer bases and proven operational capabilities.

Point S said these Mediterranean and African launches extend the expansion to a total presence across 54 countries.
