Texas A&M AgriLife director in Lubbock receives weed control science award


LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The director of the Texas A&M AgriLife Center in Lubbock is being recognized for his research education in weed control science.

Dr. Todd Baughman leads research efforts for the AgriLife Research and Extension Center, north of the Lubbock airport.

The Southern Weed Science Society presented him the Outstanding Educator award. It recognizes his classroom teaching and outreach, public service, undergraduate and graduate mentoring, as well as his extensive body of scholarly works.

Texas A&M AgriLife Research collaborates with Texas Tech on agricultural research on the South Plains.
