Max Fashion Marks 20 Years in India with Celebrity-Led Showcase at Lakmé Fashion Week

Mumbai, Maharashtra, 23rd March 2026: As Max Fashion completes 20 years in India, the brand marked the milestone with a high-visibility showcase at Lakmé Fashion Week, leveraging the platform as a strategic moment to celebrate its journey and strengthen its cultural connection with young Indian consumers.

Over the past two decades, Max Fashion has grown into one of the country’s most recognisable value fashion brands, building scale through an expansive retail footprint and a sharp focus on accessible, trend-driven fashion. Today, Max Fashion operates over 520 stores across 220+ cities in India, with a strong pan-India presence, steadily expanding its footprint to reach consumers across regions.

To celebrate the milestone, the brand returned to the Lakmé Fashion Week runway for the second consecutive year, using the platform to showcase its evolving fashion narrative while reinforcing its positioning at the intersection of style, accessibility and youth culture.

The presentation featured a 35-look showcase choreographed by Lubna Adams and styled by James Mizo, both part of the Lakmé Fashion Week talent pool. The showcase brought together contemporary silhouettes, expressive styling and everyday fashion essentials designed for modern consumers who increasingly seek individuality and versatility in their wardrobes.

As part of the brand’s cultural storytelling, Max brought together Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Alaya F as celebrity ambassadors for the showcase each representing a distinct facet of the brand’s style identity and consumer appeal.

Alaya F brought the youthful, expressive spirit of Max Urban to the runway, while Siddhant Chaturvedi reflected the brand’s relaxed and contemporary take on everyday dressing. Kalki Koechlin closed the showcase with a powerful finale moment alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi, reinforcing the brand’s celebration of individuality and self-expression.

Speaking about the milestone, Sumit Chandna, CEO of Max Fashion said:

“Completing 20 years in India is a significant milestone for Max Fashion. Over the past two decades, India has become one of our most important markets, and our journey here has been shaped by the evolving aspirations of young, value-conscious consumers who seek both style and accessibility. Platforms like Lakmé Fashion Week allow us to connect with audiences through culture and creativity while celebrating the spirit of modern Indian fashion.”

At the centre of the showcase was the concept “Unserious Everything,” reflecting a design philosophy that celebrates fashion as expressive, playful and instinctive while remaining grounded in everyday wearability.

The collection explored a mix of contemporary streetwear influences, sports-inspired styling and relaxed casual silhouettes designed for versatility. The creative direction reflected the brand’s broader approach to fashion making style approachable, expressive and relevant to the everyday lives of young consumers.

More than a runway showcase, the presentation served as a cultural marker for Max Fashion’s two-decade journey in India, highlighting the brand’s continued evolution as it strengthens its presence in one of the world’s most dynamic fashion markets.
