LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Big hats, bright colors and statement looks.
The Kentucky Derby is known for its fashion just as much as its finish line and now fans are getting a first look at what will turn heads this year.
Churchill Downs Racetrack just released its 2026 Style Guide, and the message is clear: go bold or go home.
Fashion expert Zanna Roberts Rassi will once again lead the vision, and she encourages people to treat their outfits like art.
“From playing with color and texture to drawing inspiration from the world around us and your mood within, Derby style empowers people to channel their creativity in new and unexpected ways,” Rassi said in a news release.
This year’s looks lean into dramatic fascinators, rich fabrics and eye-catching designs.
“We are excited to use the pages of this year’s look book to show how Derby continues to serve as a canvas for artistry, fashion, beauty and expression,” said Michelle Walkup, marketing director for Churchill Downs Racetrack.
Official Derby artist Grayson Reynolds brings the energy of race day to life with bold, colorful illustrations woven throughout the guide.
The 152nd Kentucky Derby is May 2 and bold fashion will be front and center.
