It feels like just yesterday everyone was wondering when we would be seeing the sun again and now the season is changing to spring! Next thing you know summer will be her with Boise finally heating up again and it’s time to celebrate! Summer events are going to be kicking off and everyone’s swarming all of the local parks so there’s no better time for free movie nights in the park.

When it’s summer in the Boise area not only is it nice out during the day but evenings are the perfect temperature and the perfect weather to keep hanging out outside.

Thankfully, free movie nights in Boise are coming back this year and Boise Parks and Rec just announced what movies will be playing this year.

This Summer enjoy all your favorite movies under the stars with your friends and family.

Where do you sit?

These movies are completely free to attend which makes it even better. Boise Parks and Recreation recommends that you bring blankets because even though it’s summer it might still get chilly! You are also welcome to bring low back camp chairs.

What about food and drinks?

You are more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks and have a picnic. There will also be vendors on sight serving food and drinks that have not been announced yet. No alcohol is permitted.

What about parking?

Biking and walking to the movies are encouraged. However if you cannot bike or walk you are welcome to park at Julia Davis Park. Parking is free but does come on a first come first serve basis.
