At under $5,000, this is a beast, and well worth considering, but if you are looking to spend a touch less, and are primarily looking for pure gaming performance, I’d say it’s worth checking out RTX 5090, Ryzen 7 9800X3D models instead. This CPU has a 5.2GHz boost clock speed, 96MB L3 cache, 8 cores, and 16 threads, and also boasts 2nd-gen 3D V-cache architecture, which is designed for better thermal performance, too, allowing for steady performance even under heavy loads. This CPU is still a top-tier processor to pair with the RTX 5090, and it gives you a lot of room for upgrades in the future due to its AM5 compatibility.
