The Golden State Warriors took down the Dallas Mavericks in their Monday showdown that went into overtime. Despite playing without Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler, the Dubs erased a 15-point Mavs lead in the first half and went on to secure a 137-131 victory.
Moses Moody led the Warriors in scoring with 23 points. Unfortunately, he suffered a non-contact injury in the fourth quarter and was eventually diagnosed with a season-ending left patellar tendon tear.

Kristaps Porzingis added 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Golden State, while Brandin Podziemski finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
As for the Mavs, Cooper Flagg tallied 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting, along with four rebounds, nine assists and two steals.

While it was a thrilling game with seven lead changes and nine deadlocks, it wasn’t without controversy.
In the NBA’s Last 2 Minute Report, it was revealed that there were two incorrect calls and one incorrect non-call during the contest.

With 1:43 remaining in the fourth quarter, Draymond Green was called for a foul on Flagg as the Mavs rookie attacked the basket. However, the NBA said it shouldn’t have been called since it was a clean rejection from the Warriors star.
“Green (GSW) cleanly blocks Flagg’s (DAL) shot attempt. Any ensuing arm contact from Porzingis (GSW) that occurs after the shot is blocked by Green is deemed incidental,” the L2M report noted.
The second incorrect call occurred with 48 seconds left on the clock in regulation. This time, it didn’t go in Dallas’ favor. Naji Marshall was called for a traveling violation on a fast break after momentarily losing control of the ball on a fast break. However, the NBA highlighted that the Mavs veteran regained “control of the ball without resuming his dribble” and “legally” passed to his teammate.

As for the lone incorrect non-call in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, Moody was apparently fouled by Flagg with 30 seconds remaining. The Warriors guard took a triple and missed, but the NBA stated that the Mavs youngster initiated “contact with Moody’s lower body while he is airborne,” which affected his follow-through.
The non-call was particularly crucial because it would have given Moody three free throws and the chance to give the Warriors the lead. The game was tied at 126-126 when the foul occurred.
The good news is that the Warriors were still able to get the win, although it’s definitely worth thinking whether Moody would have avoided his injury had the game not extended into overtime and if the Dubs had secured the win in regulation.
