Sandblu Santorini is scheduled to reopen on 8 April 2026 under the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand, marking the brand’s first property in Greece. The hotel is located above Kamari’s black-sand shoreline at Ancient Thira, Kamari, Santorini, 84700, Greece.
The property will offer 66 accommodations, comprising 36 rooms, 27 suites, and three villas. Nearly half of the accommodations will feature private pools. The villas are designed with private pools and terraces.
Dining options at Sandblu Santorini will include six venues. Nectar will serve Greek cuisine; Plateia will offer meals from breakfast through late dinner with views of the infinity pool and ocean; Aroma will feature a 300-label wine cellar with local and international selections; and Stari Bakery will provide pastries and coffee in the mornings. Blu, an off-property terrace restaurant designed by Rockwell Group, will serve Greek-Mediterranean cuisine with views of the Caldera.
For 2026, the hotel will introduce The Wellness Collective, a season-long program featuring hosted practitioners and small-group experiences. Activities will include guided movement, meditation, restorative rituals, and expert-led workshops in areas such as yoga, nutrition, meditation, and sound bathing. The Aurora Spa will offer ESPA and 111SKIN treatments, a sauna, steam room, and indoor heated pool. The property’s two-story Nous & Sóma fitness facility will be equipped with Technogym equipment, a reformer Pilates studio, and a Kinesis Vision machine.
Sandblu Santorini will provide experiences such as horseback riding on volcanic terrain, olive oil and wine tastings with local purveyors, and private tastings at the Santovini Wine Cellar, a natural cave on the property.
The reopening of Sandblu Santorini will add to LXR Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio of nearly 40 trading and pipeline properties. The brand also announced that the opening will be followed by the debut of Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Greece, including Conrad Athens The Ilisian, Conrad and Waldorf Astoria Residences, and Conrad Corfu in the coming months.
