Hilton’s LXR brand lands in Greece with Santorini hotel

Sandblu Santorini is set to reopen on April 8, 2026, marking LXR Hotels & Resorts’ first property in Greece. The hotel is located above Kamari’s black-sand shoreline and comprises 66 rooms, suites and villas.

The property includes 36 rooms, 27 suites and three villas. Nearly half of the guest rooms feature private pools. The three villas include private pools and terraces.

Local-Inspired Dining

Sandblu Santorini has six dining outlets. Nectar focuses on Greek cuisine, while Plateia serves breakfast through dinner with views of the infinity pool and ocean. Aroma features a 300-label wine cellar spanning local and international vintages. Stari Bakery serves pastries and coffee. Blu, an off-property restaurant designed by Rockwell Group, offers Greek-Mediterranean cuisine with views of the Caldera, a UNESCO Geological Heritage site.

Santorini Hidden Explorations

On-property activities include olive oil and wine tastings and horseback riding on volcanic terrain. A new Santovini Wine Cellar, housed in a natural cave on the property, offers private tastings and private gatherings.

“Sandblu is the Santorini most travellers hope to stumble into – quiet, design-led and deeply local. It is an ideal expression of LXR: a refined base for personal discovery that brings you closer to the island’s people, culture and hidden gems,” said Feisal Jaffer, global head of LXR Hotels & Resorts. “Since launching in 2018, LXR has thoughtfully focused on sophisticated global travellers seeking meaningful experiences, distinctive design, and bespoke personalised service. As we continue to curate our European growth, Sandblu Santorini serves as an ideal introduction to our brand, inviting guests to connect deeply with the island’s unique character and the people who bring it to life.”
