2026 Junos: 28 best fashion moments of all time from the Canadian awards, including red carpet looks from Nelly Furtado, Drake, Justin Bieber and more celebs


It’s just about time for the 2026 Junos, where the best Canadian music is set to be honoured. Hosted by comedian Mae Martin this year in Hamilton, Ont., the Juno Awards are set to be star-studded and full of eye-catching fashion.

Some of the biggest Canadian names in entertainment are set to attend the show on Sunday, March 29, starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Some of those include appearances from icons Joni Mitchell and Nelly Furtado, plus performances from Alessia Cara, Allison Russell, Sarah McLachlan and more.

But before we get into the awards and celebrations, let’s take a look back at some of the best looks celebrities have worn at the ceremony over the years. From Shania Twain rocking a hockey jersey-inspired ensemble to Justin Bieber opting for his signature purple, many stars aren’t afraid to get stylish at the Juno Awards. It’s hard to pick only one of Furtado’s iconic Junos looks. The “I’m Like a Bird” hitmaker — who’s being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during Sunday’s ceremony — is a fashion star in her own right, and the striking wine-red sequin gown she wore during the 2024 ceremony in Halifax proves just that.

The 15-time Juno winner proved he was perfect for the hosting gig at last year’s ceremony in Vancouver, where he looked dapper in a blue suit. He arrived alongside his wife, Luisana Lopilato, who shone in a pink asymmetrical gown featuring rhinestones and a thigh-high slit.

Justin Bieber received his first-ever nomination for a Juno in 2010 when he was just 16. Just breaking into the scene that year, the “Baby” hitmaker rocked his then-signature purple with an untucked buttoned shirt, matching high-top sneakers as well as black jeans and a bowtie.

Menswear often lacks style and pizazz on red carpets, but the looks Elliot Page and Tegan and Sara wore for the 2024 Junos in Halifax were top-notch. Page went for a clean look featuring a golf shirt, slacks and a buttoned jacket. On the other hand, Sara Quin wore a purple suit featuring a crossbody jacket, while sister Tegan opted for an oversized multi-panel suit.

Twain can easily be deemed a style icon, especially after the dress she wore for the 2011 Junos in Toronto. The “Man! Love him or hate him, Drake undeniably cleaned up for the 2011 Junos in Toronto. The rapper hosted the event that year and led with six nominations, but sadly took home no awards. Still, he won on the red carpet in his brown suit, which ensured he was dressed to impress that evening.

Winning New Artist of the Year, the “Drive my Soul” singer wore an iridescent purple dress designed by Sarah Catalfo, which featured a low open back. Every red carpet needs a touch of camp, and “edamame” rapper bbno$ showed Canadian artists can have a little fun with their fashion. His toilet-inspired ensemble, complete with a layered skirt that resembled toilet paper, let everyone know he was “the s—” at last year’s event.

Haviah Mighty and Omega Mighty, who stepped onto the 2024 Junos red carpet in Halifax wearing head-turning outfits that were easily some of the best looks that night. Haviah wore an all-white bra-less look featuring a sheer cape, rhinestoned vest, baggy pants and shining eye piece, while Omega went for an off-the-shoulder light gold gown with an intricate design.

The Weeknd opted for a classic suit for the 2015 Junos in Hamilton, Ont. However, the “Blinding Lights” singer, who won Artist of the Year that night, opted for no tie or bowtie, leaving the top buttons of his white shirt loose for a more casual look.
