Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark, 42, unveiled a timeless look for a rare red carpet appearance more than a year on from her glamorous wedding. While the newlywed royal has kept a low profile in the months since she said “I do” to American lawyer Matthew Kumar in September 2024, she showed off her chic married style on Thursday night at a star-studded outing.
The rarely-seen Greek Princess, who is also an actress, was perfection in polka dots as she joined a plethora of soap opera stars for a launch event in California on 26 March for the long-running American drama The Bold and the Beautiful, which she stars in. Theodora’s belted halter-neck dress fell to her ankles on the red carpet, showing off a pair of classic black stilettos to perfectly match her monochrome ensemble.
The royal posed for solo pictures with a black leather clutch in hand to complete her elegant look. She kept her glam natural for the occasion with a pink lipstick shade and her blonde tresses styled out in a cascade of waves. As for her jewellery, the 42-year-old kept her bling minimal with delicate bracelets and teardrop earrings.

She joined members of the Greek royal family in January for the funeral procession of Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark. Before that, she was accompanied by her husband in February 2025 to the wedding of Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Chryssi Vardinogianni in Athens.
Her acting journey
Theodora is the daughter of Queen Anne-Marie of Greece and the late Constantine II of Greece, who was the last King of Greece before the abolition of the Greek monarchy in 1973. The royal moved to Los Angeles in her ’20s to pursue a passion for acting, making her television debut in 2011 with a recurring role as secretary Alison Montgomery on The Bold and the Beautiful.
She appeared in multiple episodes on the soap drama up until 2018 before trying her hand at acting on the big screen in movies such as Little Boy, June and the 2022 sci-fi film, The Great Awakening.
Theodora’s elegant wedding dress
The 42-year-old was a radiant bride on her wedding day to Matthew Kumar at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens on 28 September, 2024. The royal’s handmade, silk organza wedding dress was a creation from Greek designer Celia Kritharioti, who spoke exclusively to HELLO! about how the gown came to be. Celia was also behind the royal’s two other bespoke dresses for her pre-wedding and after-party celebrations.
Celia revealed to HELLO! that Theodora’s ceremonial dress design evolved from the pure white organza lace she initially imagined for the royal to meet the “seasonal needs and requirements”. “We fostered an open dialogue and subsequent fittings followed to reach a result that justified the unique blend of her personality infused with the principles of our heritage Maison,” the designer shared.
“Theodora’s elegance was the canvas for a creation embodying femininity in its pure natural essence. Floral patterns and soft flowing lines were combined to add a sense of freshness and vitality. The idea was to ultimately create something effortless regal, an ode between tradition and modernity.”
