TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Three senior scientists from the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson have been selected to join NASA’s first Artemis Lunar Surface Science Team.
Jamie Molaro, Hanna Sizemore and Catherine Weitz will help develop the science plan for astronauts landing near the moon’s south pole. The team is set to support geology operations, pre-mission planning and post-mission reports for the inaugural crewed Artemis mission.
The mission aims to advance lunar research and prepare for future exploration.
