Previously known as Shiver, Tim Miller‘s (Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate) next film may not have a new title, but its cast is filling out.
THR reports that Stefan Kapičić, best known for voicing Colossus in the Deadpool franchise, is joining Keanu Reeves in the sci-fi thriller.
Other additions to the cast include Callie Cooke (“The Stranger”), Steven Waddington (Sleepy Hollow), Nicholas Duvernay (“The White Lotus”), Abraham Popoola (Cruella), Anastasia Safonov, and Bobby Holland Hanton (Thor: Love and Thunder).
The plot is said to center on a ne’er-do-well smuggler in the middle of a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea. Surrounded by bodies, hostile mercenaries, and bloodthirsty sharks, the man finds himself in a time loop and scrambling to break the cycle.
Ian Shorr (Splinter, Infinite) penned the script, which has been described as having shades of Edge of Tomorrow and The Shallows.
Kick-Ass and Kingsman filmmaker Matthew Vaughn will produce via his Marv Films along with Aaron Ryder (Arrival), Andrew Swett (Dumb Money), and John Zaozirny (Infinite), with Scott Lumpkin (Doctor Sleep) executive producing.
The film sails into theaters on August 13, 2027 via Warner Bros.
