This morning, the 2026 Vogue Vintage Market opened in downtown New York, offering covetable vintage pieces sourced from eBay and, in many cases, the closets of designers and friends of Vogue. Inside the one-day-only event—hosted by Vogue’s April cover star, Doja Cat—guests could find everything from iconic runway looks (Celine trenches! Chloé horse-print dresses!) to exceptionally rare shoes and bags. Outside, however, excited shoppers delivered their own high-fashion moments: the queue to enter the sale became a full-on street style spectacle, with fashion insiders and fans alike lining up in their Saturday best.
VIPs such as Emma Chamberlain, Paloma Elsesser, and Shailene Woodley strolled in for the exclusive early-access hour at 10 a.m., after which the space opened to the ticket-holding public. Some attendees even hired professional line-standers to secure early access to the most coveted pieces.
Jennifer Meertens, who has a handbag line, was the very first shopper in line, having secured her spot at around 8:20 a.m. “This is my second time at the Vogue Vintage Market, and I’m just looking for anything that catches my eye,” she told Vogue. “I have my eye on the long orange-and-blue Miu Miu ’70s coat. Last year, I found a great Michael Kors suit from 2005.”

The sale also drew fellow vintage sellers. Johnny Valencia and Priscilla Yael of Pechuga Vintage, for instance, flew in from Los Angeles specifically for the event. “I’m hoping to find great shoes—I’ve definitely established that I have a shoe fetish,” quipped Valencia, who scored Marc Jacobs platforms and Tommy Hilfiger boots once worn by Naomi Campbell at last year’s market. “I’m looking for great jewelry, Chanel pieces, Dior tank tops—lots of mesh,” added Yael. “We need to bring all of the hot-girl pieces back to LA.”
Many shoppers waiting in line delivered bold, statement-making looks, treating the queue like a runway. Fashion student Ellie Warnke arrived in an outfit sourced head-to-toe from eBay, including a vintage Prada top, turquoise Gucci gloves, a checkered Sandy Liang skirt, and Miu Miu heels. “I came here last year and found a really beautiful Prada dress,” Warnke said. “I’m a big vintage junkie. This time, I’m looking for vintage Balenciaga or Dolce & Gabbana—I want to diversify my closet, since I tend to stick to the same brands.”
In the end, the Vogue Vintage Market proved to be about more than just shopping; the affair doubled as a see-and-be-seen fashion moment. Judging by the number of shopping bags bursting at the seams as guests exited, it was a smashing success. Below, see more of the stylish shoppers who lined up for the Vogue Vintage Market.
