The last time these two teams met back in October of this year, the game finished 3-1 to The Tartan Army and their opposition returned back home with their second loss of their World Cup Qualifying games.
For Scotland, winning this fixture is essential to them securing a place in the 2026 World Cup.

Ivan Jovanovic will be careful when choosing his squad for this upcoming clash in Athens. Whilst they have nothing to play for, Greece have been a tough team to beat when on home turf.
Midfielder Kostas Fortounis is suspended, and Fotis Ioannidis and Giannis Konstantelias will miss out due to injury. This puts Jovanovic in a tight space, with three of his key players unavailable to him.

Christos Tzolis is one of Greece’s star players, providing an attacking force down the left wing that constantly troubles opposition defences. Tzolis has already made a significant impact in the Belgian Pro League this season, having scored five brilliant goals, and he has provided three assists.
The winger has proved a threat during the international break as well, having scored in two out of the three games where Greece got on the score sheet. Whilst his attacking prowess is nothing to shy away from, it must be noted that his work rate off the ball and his defensive capabilities make him a valuable, well-rounded player.
With a blend of solid defence and explosive attacks, Tzolis is expected to be one of the biggest issues Scotland will face in this game. If allowed the time and space to work, he will be hard to contain again.

SSC Napoli player Scott McTominay has been a key player for Scotland since he first made his international debut in March of 2018. A classic box-to-box midfielder, McTominay’s impact is made known across all areas of the pitch.
He uses his physicality to his advantage, holding up the ball well in dangerous areas, creating opportunities for his teammates. His ability to muscle past defenders in the box also makes him a threat from corners and set pieces.
In the 24/25 Season, The Scottish international was the top scoring midfielder in Serie A, showing that his worth ethic and game reading skills are an asset.
McTominay’s strength, determination and leadership will prove crucial in martialling the Scotland as they go into what is expected to be a highly stubborn clash.
