Well, it looks like my knee surgery is not to be. I will never be able to get it, apparently. Oh, the knee is still jagged bone grinding against jagged bone. In fact, it’s getting worse with every step. It also hurts like hell when I walk. The problem is this new health insurance company of mine led me to believe they would cover up to two weeks of post-surgery rehab. At least they did until I signed on the dotted line. Once the application was over I was told I didn’t qualify. I think they knew this all along. They led me on anyway. I hate to admit it but I fell for their deception.
I’m still debating whether to have a little chat with my state’s insurance commissioner.
The only alternative to the rehab center is that I talk family into dropping everything, moving out here and catering to my every whim for a few weeks. There would be no getting around this. Not only does my surgeon want to meet these “recovery buddies” but he wants them to go through pre-surgery training along with his patients. I guess the patient himself is nothing but a dumbassed sack of potatoes. In short, it sounds like he wants all his patients to have idle little wives at their disposal. I say that because I can’t imagine most husbands doing that kind of work. I know the men in my family couldn’t handle it.
I just thought I’d keep you all up to date.
