Zaragoza to return to Bayern Munich

A quiet arrival on the last day of the winter transfer window, disappointing first appearances, and an increasingly precarious future in the capital.

The likelihood of Roma signing Bryan Zaragoza is virtually remote. In the last few hours, news has surfaced from Germany of his return to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

According to Bild, the Spaniard will return to Bayern Munich in the summer.

The main reason is the terms of his buyout by the Giallorossi.

The fee, set at €13 million, will become mandatory if Roma qualifies for the Champions League or Europa League and the player plays at least 50% of the total minutes until the end of the season.

Zaragoza’s use is the main sticking point. Since arriving at Roma, the former Celta Vigo player has made limited appearances, accounting for 19% of available minutes in Serie A and 37% in the Europa League.

According to a German source, this figure could also be linked to internal decisions within the Giallorossi club.

According to the newspaper Bild, Gian Piero Gasperini’s management of the Spaniard is influenced by the club’s strategy, aimed at avoiding the conditions that would trigger the obligation to buy, set at €13 million to be paid to Bayern Munich.
