Light Science Technologies Holdings PLC (AIM:LST, FRA:9FD), the AIM-listed agricultural and fire safety technology group, has won a contract worth approximately £300,000 to refurbish a glasshouse at a university in Wales, with an additional annual maintenance package of £19,000 also expected.
The project will establish a research facility featuring 29 zones requiring advanced lighting, heating, cooling and irrigation systems, with on-site implementation scheduled for June 2026.
The company also announced that revenues from its previously disclosed vertical farming project at Nottingham Trent University have been upgraded to approximately £600,000, a 30% increase on the original contract value, following the addition of further infrastructure to the scheme.
The two announcements together represent an aggregate new and extended contract value of approximately £440,000.
Chief executive Simon Deacon said the wins underscored growing demand for innovative growing solutions as food producers prioritised maximising efficiencies and yields.
Light Science is working to convert a total pipeline of approximately £57 million across all divisions.
