Fourth Texas Area Planetary Science Meeting Returns in August 2026

The 4th Texas Area Planetary Science Meeting (TAPS) will be held on August 20–21, 2026, at the Commons Conference Center at The University of Texas at Austin. The meeting brings together researchers from across Texas working in planetary science, astrobiology, and exoplanet research.
TAPS strengthens connections across Texas by fostering collaborations and partnerships among researchers, institutions, and the space industry. Texas-based faculty, researchers, postdocs, students, and industry partners are encouraged to attend this two-day event.
Meeting Format
- Contributed and invited talks (10 minutes plus Q&A) from participating institutions
- Scientific posters accompanied by 1-minute lightning talks
- Breakout sessions
- Breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks for discussions and networking
- Additional social/networking activities
- Opportunities for space industry sponsorship, including contributed talks and posters
- A short 300-word abstract due in June 2026 (exact date to be announced)
Travel assistance will be available for non-UT Austin attendees, with priority given to early‑career students and postdocs. Additional details on eligibility and the application process will be announced soon.
