Former Harrah’s has a potential buyer, according to owner – CDC Gaming

The long-running saga of the former Harrah’s Reno hotel-casino took its latest turn with a potential buyer expressing interest in the property, according to the owner.

“We’ve been … presented with an opportunity to sell the entire project,” said Ryan Hanks, founder and CEO of Madison Capital Group, during a webinar for potential investors.

“I cannot disclose the buyer of that project, but it’s somebody that’s got experience like us, but even at a bigger scale.”

Madison Capital Group last year took over ownership of the project, then called Reno City Center. It first hinted at a potential buyer for the property — now called the Reno Revival — in a letter soliciting investments for the project.
