It’s also good if you’re editing very large files in applications like Photoshop, for instance. And it also gives you some headroom for new game releases. On the storage front, you’ve got 2TB, which is more than enough if you’re building a pretty hefty gaming library and still want some room for your other files.
Things to consider
One thing you may want to consider is whether to opt for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5080 build, which is going to be better for gaming due to its larger 96MB L3 cache. They have a smaller core count, however, so there’s a trade-off. If you’re looking to save some cash and grab an RTX 5080 build for around $2,500, you’ll want to explore some of the Intel Core Ultra 7-265K builds. These are very good if you’re looking for something well-suited for multitasking and demanding creative workflows, and they’re decent for gaming, too, but the 9800X3D is still preferable.
