RTX 5060 graphics card
The RTX 5060 is one of the best graphics cards to go for if you’re looking to keep prebuild costs between $950 to $1,300, in most cases. It’s at its best when being used for AAA games in 1080p, and works especially well for competitive, fast-paced gaming and esports. Generally speaking, it reaches over 100fps at 1080p ultra settings with most games, and can handle 1440p quite well, although its 8GB of GDDR7 memory is a limiting factor there. Using DLSS and MFG can help offset this somewhat, allowing for smooth gameplay at higher resolutions. It also boasts 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores, which give it a significant ray tracing and AI performance uplift from previous generations, and help it increase the gap between some of the competitor cards, too.
Ryzen 5 9600X processor
The Ryzen 5 9600X is a decent option in some respects, if you’re after solid 1080p and 1440p performance, with excellent efficiency, which makes it a good call for smaller builds, like this one. It has an impressive 5.4Ghz boost clock speed, a large 32MB L3 cache, 6 cores, and 12 threads. It’s also built on Zen 5 architecture, making it a faster choice than, say, the Ryzen 7 8700F, which is often found in RTX 5060 prebuilds. Its modest core and thread count aren’t going to be the very best if you’re looking for something for heavier multitasking and content creation, however, so if that’s more your bag, I’d say lean towards a Ryzen 7 8700F build instead, as it has a higher core and thread count. This build opts for a smaller 1TB SSD, which is going to be enough to store a good handful of games, but not a huge collection. It also has 16GB of DDR5, which is going to help with running more demanding AAA titles, like open-world games, and give you enough headroom for making edits on larger files in applications like Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
Things to consider
If you’re looking to grab an RTX 5060 prebuild for around this price, I’d suggest doing a little bit of shortlisting first, as there are a lot of options out there. For a similar look and design, I reckon Stormcraft is going to be your best bet. This one is a banger for content creation and gaming, and comes with 32GB of DDR5. MSI is also a good way to go if you’re after good value for money, a slightly more simplistic design, and excellent overall build quality.
