Local and area schools will advance to state competition after earning top spots in the Minot Regional Science Olympiad held March 9.
Schools participating in Science Olympiad send teams of up to 15 students who compete in building and study events. Division B is for grades 6-9 and Division C is for grades 9-12.
Advancing to state based on total team score in Division B are: first place, Nedrose Public School; second, Bishop Ryan Catholic School; third, Ray Public School; fourth, Velva Public School; and fifth, Garrison Public School.
In Division C, advancing to state are top five finishers: first, Bishop Ryan; second, Minot North High School; third, Velva High School; fourth, Nedrose High School; and fifth, Ray High School.
The state competition will be April 25-26 in Fargo.
