Super Technologies has launched its Superbet brand in Greece, introducing both sportsbook and igaming services following licence approval from the Hellenic Gaming Commission.
The igaming rollout includes a sportsbook offering alongside casino content, with operations managed by a locally based team. The launch forms part of Super Technologies’ broader expansion strategy across Central and Southern Europe, as the group continues to enter regulated markets.
Greece has developed into a growing igaming and betting market, with annual gross gaming revenue reported at approximately €1.2bn and projected to reach €1.5bn in the coming years. The jurisdiction operates under a regulated framework with multiple licensed operators competing across sportsbook and igaming verticals.
Superbet’s entry introduces a new operator into a market where established brands, including Stoiximan, maintain a significant share of online betting activity. The addition of a new sportsbook and igaming platform reflects continued competition within the Greek market as operators seek to expand their presence.
The launch follows Super Technologies’ recent expansion activities, including the acquisition of MaxBet, which strengthened its footprint across Romania, Serbia and Malta. The company has indicated that Greece represents a strategic market within its wider regional growth plans, supported by local operations and a focus on delivering sportsbook and igaming products tailored to the jurisdiction.
“Greece is a mature and thriving market, thus we are proud to finally be here,” said Adam Lamentowicz, chief commercial officer Super’s CEE region. “This goes beyond a typical market entry, it is a long-term commitment to build the country’s most engaging entertainment ecosystem and bring people closer through excitement and a shared passion for sporting competitions.
“We intend to be a leading voice in Greece for years to come and we are confident that our brand and product offering will have an immediate impact.”
“We are confident that our innovative products, like Supersocial – a groundbreaking and engaging social network, will create a game-changing moment for the industry. Today we are just writing the first chapter of a future success story that will unfold with impactful partnerships and community projects.”
Superbet vice president of regulatory affairs Panagiotis Skyrlas added: “We aim to set new benchmarks in responsibility, integrity, and player protection. We also look forward to competing with the many strong and important operators already active in Greece, as we believe that healthy competition ultimately drives innovation, raises standards, and makes us better.
“By working closely with the regulator and continuously improving our offering, we aspire to establish Superbet as the most trusted operator in the market, for both authorities and players alike.”
