Τhe European Commission has renewed for a year the program granting short-stay visas to Turkish citizens and their family members for 12 islands in the Aegean, foreign ministry spokesperson Lana Zochiou announced during the regular briefing on Tuesday.
The program, which starts on April 1, applies to Kalymnos, Kastellorizo, Kos, Lesvos, Leros, Limnos, Rhodes, Samos, Symi, Chios, Patmos, and Samothraki.
The short-stay visas have a duration of seven days and are issued at the point of entry, in the ports of the islands.
