FARGO — A Fargo music school is turning beginners into bandmates.
The “Amped School of Music” is launching two new rock band crash courses this spring.
One is inspired by Nirvana and the other by Billie Eilish.
The four-week programs are designed to help musicians with their playing through with weekly rehearsals that will eventually lead to a live performance.
The goal is giving local artists an opportunity for a real on-stage experience.
“We really want to bridge the gap between musicians playing on their own to playing together, rocking on stage, and just having fun as a group,” said Emily Swedberg, owner of Amped School of Music.
Weekly rehearsals start April 12 with the live performance set for May 7.
