They’ve won each of their last five games by 15 points or more, including a 32-point victory against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Throughout this run, they’ve seen Victor Wembanyama shift into high gear.
In those 20 games, Wembanyama is averaging 24.6 points, 12 rebounds, 3.9 blocks, 1.3 steals and 2.1 made three-pointers per game.
As a result of his strong play, Wembanyama is gaining traction in the MVP race, along with previous winners Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic. Not to mention Luka Doncic and Jaylen Brown who are in the conversation as well.
That said, some of Wembanyama’s teammates are being considered for other awards.

The league announced recently that Harrison Barnes is one of six players who were nominated for the Sportsmanship Award.
Additionally, De’Aaron Fox is one of 12 finalists for the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award.
A 14-year veteran with over 1,000 games of experience, Barnes has been recognized as a great sportsman throughout his NBA career.
As for Fox, he’s been adamant about embracing his role as a winning teammate with San Antonio, even if it results in him sacrificing scoring opportunities to do so.
Although no winners have been announced yet, it’s encouraging to see that San Antonio’s key contributors have received recognition for their efforts this season.
