The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is hours away from its premiere, but there’s already plenty we know about the film. For example, some of the promotional materials for the movie have revealed that the Pikmin will make an appearance in some way or another. Turns out that’s not by accident either, as it was a personal goal of Miyamoto.
In a chat with IGN, Shigeru Miyamoto opened up on the inclusion of Pikmin in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. According to the Pikmin creator, getting the plucky characters into the film is just one piece of his overall goal for Pikmin. As a matter of fact, Miyamoto has said it’s his “mission” to include Pikmin in pretty much anything and everything Nintendo works on.
