Schools that suspend in-person classes due to adverse weather conditions or extraordinary events operated via remote learning on Wednesday, the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports announced.

The ministry stated that when regional governors or mayors ordered the suspension of school operations because of severe weather or other emergencies, the educational process continued through tele-education wherever feasible.
Authorities confirmed that remote learning activated immediately to ensure continuity of lessons and the smooth functioning of the educational process, particularly in municipalities where closure decisions could occur at any time.
According to the ministry, Regional Directorates of Education had already received notification from Secretary General Giannis Papadomarkakis and coordinated with school units to implement the process wherever conditions allowed.
