That’s a very competitive price for an RTX 5060 laptop in general, but it’s especially good for something that has a 300Hz, QHD+, 500 nits display, and 16GB of DDR5 RAM. Not only that, but it also packs a very powerful, high-core-count processor, in the form of the Intel Core i7-14650HX, which is great for high fps gaming, but also has excellent multicore performance, making it great for content creators and productivity. At under $1,100, we’d say this is a great option to consider while it’s still on sale.

This laptop features the RTX 5060 mobile graphics card, which has 3,328 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus. It’s built on Blackwell architecture, so you’ve got some significant improvements to ray tracing and AI capabilities, courtesy of 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores. It also features MFG, which can be used to enhance perceived fps, which comes in handy if you’re playing games at QHD, for instance. It’s primarily a solid option for high refresh rate FHD gaming at ultra settings, and is also a good way to go for light-to-moderate content creation, too, especially for video editing.
Intel Core i7-14650HX processor
You’ve got an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor in this laptop, which is a very good CPU to go for if you’re after excellent gaming performance, alongside strong workstation capabilities. It has a 5.2GHz boost clock speed and 30MB smart cache, which makes it adept at handling high fps gaming with low frame latency. It also has 16 cores (8P + 8E) and 24 threads, which make it very adept at multitasking and handling demanding creative workflows. In terms of efficiency, it runs at a 55W base power, which can spike upwards of 100W for more heavy-duty tasks. So, as with many ‘HX’ processors, this isn’t really designed to keep your battery life going for hours, but rather blast through anything you throw at it with powerhouse efficiency.

This laptop features a QHD+ display, coming in at 16 inches, which means that pixel density is going to be very high, and picture quality will look crisp and clear. It’s 300Hz, which is seriously fast, and means you can game at competitive fps, too. It’s also 500 nits, which is very bright, and will both boost color (this is 100% sRGB) and make this a good laptop for daytime usage.
Storage and RAM
You’ve got a fairly lacklustre 512GB SSD in this build, but, honestly, it’s fine if you’re playing a few games on rotation. More importantly, the 16GB of DDR5 is going to improve gaming performance, especially when playing open-world, RAM-intensive titles, and help with multitasking and work in creative applications, like Premiere Pro, for instance.
Things to consider
As far as RTX 5060 gaming laptops go, this one does bring a lot to the table for the price, and from my recent searches, finding an RTX 5060 laptop for under $1,100, especially one with a QHD+ screen, is becoming very rare indeed. That being said, I’d recommend checking out some of the ASUS TUF, Acer Nitro, and MSI Vector gaming laptops for more great value options, which may be of interest, too.
