WYOMISSING — Penn Entertainment has launched a new partnership with Birches Health, an online behavioral health services provider.
The partnership integrates new Responsible Gaming resources into Penn’s online gaming platforms — theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino.
Effective this week, Penn customers in the U.S. can access the Responsible Gaming resources created by Birches Health and tailored to users of theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino.
“Birches is a leader in the behavioral addiction treatment space, and their curated content helps destigmatize gambling addiction and provides players information on identifying and treating problem gaming.” Adam Kates, vice president, compliance, Penn Interactive said in a statement.
Kates added that through the partnership Penn will be able to expand its library of resources.
Birches Health also offers specialized behavioral addiction treatments, including online counseling programs focused on sports betting and gambling, along with additional resources to support responsible play, according to the release.
“Penn’s partnership with Birches Health showcases innovation in player protection at scale,” Birches Health founder and CEO Elliott Rapaport said in a statement. “We are excited to support them and their users with specialized content, educational initiatives and streamlined access to our specialized support services.”
Services available to players include problem gambling assessments, articles on responsible gaming, and information on addiction counseling. The resources can be accessed in the “RG Tools” section of a player’s profile within the online gaming app, or by visiting https://sportsbook.thescore.bet/rg.
