This outstanding ASUS ROG Strix 32-inch gaming monitor is now $200 off for a limited time on Amazon, and back at its lowest price again, too. It’s currently reduced from $999.00 to $799.00, which is a great price considering what you’re getting. It’s a glossy OLED display, which is designed to make the most out of its contrast, color, and sharpness, and has dual mode functionality allowing it to switch between 4K at 165Hz, and FHD at 330Hz. On top of that, it’s loaded with advanced anti-burn-in features and boasts that signature, cyberpunk ASUS ROG Strix design aesthetic, too. Who’s it for? Well, I’d say if you want something that’s pretty much unbeatable when it comes to versatility, and you’re primarily using it in a lower light environment, then this monitor is very hard to beat at its current price.

Standout features of this ASUS ROG Strix 32-inch gaming monitor

Dual mode resolution for superior versatility

This monitor features dual-mode functionality, which gives you the option of playing in 4K at 165Hz or FHD at 330Hz. One of the main drawbacks of getting a 4K monitor is that the refresh rate is usually between 144Hz and 240Hz in most cases, which is good for competitive gaming, but not ideal for those who want extremely high framerates for a competitive advantage in many of the most popular first-person shooters, for example. This dual resolution mode solves that incredibly well, essentially giving you a screen that’s brilliant for slower-paced, more immersive gaming, and an esports-like monitor in one.

Glossy OLED display for vibrant, high-contrast, and lifelike picture quality

This monitor opts for a glossy OLED display, which basically makes images look sharper, higher contrast, and more vibrant than matte-finish monitors. It’s the way to go if you’re using an OLED in a darker room, as they can pick up reflections easily.

Best Early Spring Sale Deals

Amazon has started slashing prices on some of the industry’s best tech products, ahead of its upcoming Spring Sale. Below are all the best deals today.

Prices and availability are subject to change at any time. Discounts were accurate at the time of publishing but may vary or expire without notice.

VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification for excellent color, contrast, and peak brightness

Not all OLED monitors are created equal, and this certification is a very good indicator that you can expect outstanding color and contrast, with at least 400 nits of peak brightness. With this monitor, you’ve got 99% DCI-P3 color and Delta E<2 color accuracy, with a 1500000:1 contrast ratio, which is up there with some of the best gaming monitors on the market.

Anti-burn-in suite for peace of mind

ASUS has stuffed this monitor with anti-burn-in technology. Notable features include a Neo Proximity Sensor, which turns on the screensaver when it senses you’ve stepped away from the monitor, and logo brightness adjustment, which automatically dims brightness on static logos on screen. There’s also pixel shift, which frequently, but unnoticeably, moves the image on screen by one pixel, to prevent any one area from overheating.

Alternatives to consider

For dual-mode resolution monitors, I’d suggest checking out LG UltraGear options, personally. They’re very impressive, boast stunning design aesthetics, and often have incredibly high refresh rates, too. I’d suggest this LG UltraGear dual resolution display, which has 4K 240Hz/ FHD 480Hz. It’s pricey, but from my experience, LG UltraGear monitors often have pretty substantial and frequent discounts. Case in point, this one is currently on sale right now at Amazon.
