Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould today announced the appointment of Kendall Tyson as Chief Financial Officer, adding an accomplished, experienced leader to the conference’s leadership team. Reporting to Commissioner Gould, Tyson officially began her tenure with the Pac-12 on April 1, 2026, as the league continues to build toward its launch for the 2026-27 season. Excel Search & Advisory led the process for this key leadership position.
In her role, Tyson will lead day-to-day financial matters, overseeing all fiscal operations and long-term financial planning, focusing on budgeting, forecasting and revenue distribution. She will provide consistent and regular support to the membership, its presidents and athletic directors.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to have someone of Kendall’s character and experience joining our leadership team,” Gould said. “We had an incredibly deep and qualified pool for this position, yet Kendall rose to the top very quickly. Her experience in professional sports and in the private sector will be a tremendous asset for us as we launch the new Pac-12 on July 1.
Tyson joins the Pac-12 after most recently serving as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Intelligence with the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). In addition to overseeing all financial reporting, forecasting, tracking and reconciliation of the team and all of its subsidiaries, she also developed and oversaw the team’s focus on data management, advanced analytics, automated reporting, accounting, and strategic initiatives for both the Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena. Tyson was also part of the initial leadership team that launched the franchise during the 2021-2022 season.
Prior to her time with the Kraken, Kendall held positions with the Top Golf Entertainment Group, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), and with the management consulting firm Accenture. She is also a former student-athlete, having played women’s basketball at Emory University.

With today’s announcement the Pac-12 continues its build toward the new league’s launch for the 2026-27 season, which will see Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State officially join with Oregon State and Washington State.
