Apple reportedly has four new products ready to launch, pending one thing

Apple has had a busy year of new product launches already, but there are at least four additional products that reportedly are ready to launch, save for one key holdup: the new Siri.

Siri’s delays are the reason for several MIA Apple products

When you’re a company like Apple that develops the hardware, software, and services that power products, you gain more control over launch timing.

In the pre-Apple silicon era, for example, Macs weren’t updated as often because Apple was beholden to Intel’s chip development timeline.

But even when everything is in-house, a single area of development snags can still hold up product launches.

That’s apparently what has happened with several Apple products that are waiting for Siri’s forthcoming upgrades.

Siri’s new AI features were first expected to launch in March 2025, then got delayed. Apple later promised that what it’s developing is actually much bigger than the features it previewed at WWDC 2024.

For a while, reporting indicated that March 2026 was Apple’s new target launch window, with iOS 26.4. But then came the Bloomberg report that features would be delayed into iOS 26.5 and iOS 27.

Now, the first iOS 26.5 beta is here with no signs of Siri changes. And reporting increasingly points to iOS 27 being a huge Siri release.

According to Mark Gurman, there are several Apple products he says are ready to go but waiting on the new Siri.

Recently Mark Gurman shared updates on a variety of forthcoming Apple products in a Bloomberg Q&A.

At one point he was asked if new Apple TV 4K and HomePod devices were still in the works. Here’s his answer:

New HomePod mini, yes. New Apple TV, yes. New full-sized HomePod, yes. Just a matter of time. They’ve wanted to get the Apple Intelligence and new Siri features working in those products before rolling out the new versions. They could have rolled them out last year, but it’s just about waiting for that, just like they’ve been waiting for the smart home display.

Gurman had previously reported that the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 were scheduled for late 2025 launches. But Siri’s ongoing delays are apparently the reason they’ve slipped.

So per Gurman, there are four new Apple products ready to go, but waiting on Siri:

  • New Apple TV 4K
  • HomePod 3
  • HomePod mini 2
  • ’HomePad’ or ‘HomePod Touch’

Regarding the HomePad, the Q&A also brought additional details:

There was a big delay because of the Siri functionality. My understanding is these things are sitting in warehouses, these smart displays. They’re just waiting for that new software to be ready so they can ship those things out.

If you’re interested in seeing Apple make a bigger push into smart home devices, it sounds like there’s even more reason to be excited for the new Siri in iOS 27, tvOS 27, and HomePod 27.
