A new storefront in Weber City is offering gamers and collectors a place to shop for everything from retro favorites to hard-to-find items.
R and D Games has opened in a new location, stocking DVDs, video games, consoles, comics, Pokemon cards, toys and more. The shop also allows customers to buy, sell and trade items, giving shoppers a single stop for both casual players and serious collectors.
Owner Charles Chapman previously operated out of a smaller store, but recently leased a new space next to the future Weber City volunteer Fire Department.
“We have about 1000 square feet more than we did before,” he said “we have larger ceilings so we can display stuff literally from the floor to the ceiling in here,”
He said the expanded space has been drawing reactions from customers seeing the new setup for the first time.
“A lot of people when they walk into the new store they say ‘Wow,’ because of the amount of stuff, the amount of memories,” Charles said.
R and D Games is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 1680 US Highway 23 Weber City, Va.
