Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs have been a force this 2025-26 NBA regular season. With a 58-18 record, the Spurs are sitting atop the Southwest Division and are only two games behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder (60-16) in the Western Conference.
San Antonio has been led all season by its superstar Wembanyama. While not even averaging 30 minutes per game (29.2), the 7-foot-4 center is somehow able to amass massive counting stats. He is 13th in the league in points per game, averaging 24.7, fifth in the NBA in rebounding at 11.5 per game and averages a league-high 3.1 blocks per game, over an entire block per game more than second-placed Chet Holmgren of the Thunder (1.8).

San Antonio would not be near the top of the standings if they relied on Wembanyama alone. The Spurs have history with a “Big Three”, as Tim Duncan, Manu Ginóbili and Tony Parker were one of the most recognizable versions of the moniker in NBA History. San Antonio appears to be rekindling that spirit, with guards De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle both producing at star levels. Fox is averaging 18.5 points and 6.2 assists per game, with the younger Castle averaging 16.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game.
The Spurs have been on a torrid pace since the end of January. San Antonio finished February a perfect 11-0 before losing to Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks 114-89 on March 1st. That was the last loss that Wembanyama appeared in, as he did not play in the March 12th 136-131 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

With the Spurs’ most recent 127-113 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, Wembanyama won his 15th straight NBA game. In doing so, the French native set an NBA record for individual achievement and team accomplishment. Wembanyama continues to fill out the box score in unprecedented ways, setting a record for counting stats in a fifteen-game span in NBA history. Over his last 15 games, Wembanyama has 418 points, 185 rebounds, 55 blocks and 38 threes made, all while leading the Spurs to a 15-0 record.
“Over his last 15 games, the @spurs’ Victor Wembanyama has: 400+ points, 150+ rebounds, 50+ blocks, 30+ threes made, 15-0 record,” OptaSTATS wrote on X. “No one else in NBA history could match that stat line even if he took the best 15-game span of his career in each category separately.”

The Spurs will face Darius Garland and the Los Angeles Clippers without Wembanyama on Thursday at 10:30 p.m. ET.
