Baseball fans have had it rough. While the NFL’s 16-game season means that every broadcast is a national event, MLB’s 162-game marathon means you’re mostly relegated to regional sports networks—and now more haphazard options given the collapse of FanDuel Sports Network. It also means there’s more room for side deals that leave fans scrambling to figure out which channel (or video streaming service) is broadcasting the game on any given day.
Case in point: Apple has the exclusive rights to stream Friday Night Baseball though the 2028 season. Apple TV costs $12.99 per month. It is also included in the Apple One bundle, which costs $19.95 per month and gives you access to Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and expanded iCloud+ storage. Where to Stream Friday Night Baseball
Figuring out where to watch Friday Night Baseball is simple. It’s on Apple TV. Instead of turning to cable or a sports streaming service, you’d turn to the Apple TV app on your mobile device, smart TV, or media streaming device. The service may have once been exclusive to your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV streaming device, but that is no longer the case. You can find the Apple TV app on your Android-based television, Android phone, or Android tablet. Apple TV is also available to watch via a browser.
As a reminder, you should turn on your TV’s motion-smoothing option for the best picture while watching baseball and other televised sporting events. Crucially, though, remember to turn it off again before watching other TV shows and movies so as to avoid the “soap opera effect” that makes everything look weird.

Can You Watch Friday Night Baseball for Free?
There is no free tier for Apple TV, but there are a few ways to access the service without paying. First-time users can sign up for a seven-day free trial, which should give you enough time to get in one doubleheader before it expires. Certain Apple products, including a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac, come with a three-month trial of Apple TV, allowing you to sample the Friday Night Baseball experience for the first half of the season at no cost.
It’s also worth noting that Apple TV can be shared through your Apple Family, allowing multiple members of your household to watch these games without paying for individual plans. Also, if you have Peacock, an Apple TV-Peacock bundle can save you up to 30%.
