Sierra Waggoner and Trevor Scott sat down with Alamo Drafthouse Marketing Director John Smith to get a closer look at what moviegoers can expect this month—and why a trip to the Drafthouse is more than just catching a film.

“Of course, this is Austin. Since 1997, we’ve grown to five locations. You come in, get your ticket, sit down, and order right from your seat. You’ll have a full meal—including a full bar with an amazing drink menu—brought directly to you throughout the film. And we’re talking top presentation standards in the industry. We really try to make the experience the absolute best it can be.”
For those unfamiliar, that elevated, dine-in experience is what sets Alamo Drafthouse apart—blending great films with great food for a truly immersive night out.
Kicking things off, audiences can fall in love all over again with a Pride & Prejudice movie party, inspired by the film fans love most ardently. The themed event brings viewers right into the story with interactive elements designed to make the experience unforgettable.

“This has been one of our most popular repertory film events for years. It’s meant to be a celebration of films that people love. Any Alamo Drafthouse movie party is going to be interactive—you’ll see special items like lotion, tissues, even a beautiful keychain. It really makes you feel like you’re right there, like you’re inside the movie itself. Our team has a blast coming up with it all.”
Next up, it’s a party fit for a queen with a Miss Congeniality movie party, celebrating one of Austin’s own.

“It’s one of Austin’s own, Sandra Bullock. It’s so much fun. This is toward the end of the month, and it’s a celebration of that classic. As you can see on screen, we’ve turned it into a full party.”
The lineup continues with “Best Buds,” a series celebrating some of cinema’s most iconic mismatched duos—proof that sometimes the most unexpected pairings make for the most unforgettable stories.
