THE RUNDOWN
- Meghan Markle was spotted in Montecito on a shopping trip.
- The Duchess of Sussex was in a layered ensemble with accessories.
- It was a rare look at her off-duty style.
On April 1, Meghan Markle was photographed on a visit to Montecito, where she went shopping at a local toy store. The Duchess of Sussexeg was wearing a casual off-duty look, showing her sense of style even when she’s not in the spotlight.
Meghan modeled a pair of straight-legged jeans, a beige top, an oversized canvas jacket, and a voluminous white scarf with colorful stripes. She further accessorized with a white baseball cap and a pair of light brown suede loafers with tassels. She carried several paper bags full of toys as she stepped into her waiting car.
The duchess appeared to be shopping for her kids, Archie and Lilibet. Last May, she shared a post celebrating Archie’s sixth birthday, including a photo of him standing against a beautiful setting sun. In the caption, she wrote, “Our son. Our sun. Happy 6th birthday to Archie! Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go? (And for all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special ❤️)”
In November, she opened up in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar about her kids, explaining how every day she is observing them become new people.
“I’m a mom with kids at that age where they are constantly learning something new,” she said. “I watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day. But you can remember and say, ‘I know it seems really hard right now, but trust me, that’s going to come so easily soon.’”
