BATON ROUGE, La. — Georgia Track and Field wrapped up its stay at LSU’s Battle on the Bayou in impressive fashion on Saturday night, recording four event wins and setting two school records.

- The women’s 4×100 meter relay squad started the day off strong, capturing the first school record of the day. The quartet of senior Kaila Jackson, redshirt sophomore Reign Redmond, redshirt freshman Adaejah Hodge and senior Jassani Carter finished runner-up in the race at 42.62. That time ranks second in the current NCAA standings and the world as well as No. 11 all-time in collegiate history.
- On the men’s side, freshman Le’Ezra Brown also delivered a school record breaking performance with a 13.29 (+1.9m/s) finish in the men’s 110m hurdles. That finish earned him the event win, set a new meet record and registered as a 2026 world lead.
- In the women’s 100m hurdles, freshman Maddi Cooper posted a strong showing finishing fifth at 13.22 (+2.3m/s), which ranks seventh in school history.
- Meanwhile in the field, sophomore Skylynn Townsend added to Georgia’s success on the day with an all-conditions career best leap of 13.67m/44-10.25 (+2.5m/s) in the triple jump that won the event. That mark ranks sixth in program history and leads the NCAA.
- In the men’s 400 meter, freshman Jonathan Simms also tallied an event win, finishing at 44.76. Simm’s finish registered as a meet record, 2026 NCAA lead and ranks third in program history outdoors.
- The women’s section of the 400 meter also produced two strong performances by graduate transfers Shaquena Foote and Vimbayi Maisvorewa. Foote crossed the line first for the Bulldogs in third at a career best 50.88, which ranks fourth in the NCAA this season and fifth in school history. Maisvorewa followed in fifth at 51.71, which ranks ninth in program history.
- Bulldog duo Hodge and Carter closed out the meet with an impressive showing in the women’s 100m dash. Hodge clocked a 11.04 (+2.4m/s), good for event win, second in the current NCAA rankings and third in program history. The time also established a new British Virgin Islands national record, which Hodge previously held at 11.11. Carter followed with a fourth place finish at 11.20 (+2.4m/s), which ranks fifth in both the NCAA and school history.

The Bulldogs will now return home to host the 2026 Spec Towns Invitational at the new Spec Towns Track. Competition is scheduled for April 9-11.
