Princess Anne is the queen of Easter fashion – with secret style weapon at church

The Royal Family looked joyful as they arrived at St George’s Chapel on Easter Sunday morning. Princess Anne cut a fine figure as she was pictured behind the Prince and Princess of Wales arriving for the Easter Matins service.

The sister of King Charles decided to opt for a magnificent turquoise coat dress, one that has been in her wardrobe for many years. The pièce de résistance was her fabulous fedora, also designed in the same bold shade.

The annual Easter service is often an opportunity for the royals to engage in stylish splendour, debuting marvellous millinery, bold spring colours and fabulous tailored outfits from their favourite designers before following the service with a traditional roast lamb lunch at Windsor Castle.

Anne looked striking in her teal coat and hat

A sleek hat like Anne’s elevates her outfit and gives it a formal edge. Turquoise is also a great colour on the 75-year-old; it is eye-catching and bright, and lifts her complexion, giving her ensemble a fresh springtime feel.

Anne the style icon

Princess Anne has always loved timeless, classic attire. Although her style is notably different from that of her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, the royal has revealed there are similarities between them.

Anne made some rare comments on fashion in 2022

“The Queen and I had a discussion the other day about the difference between fashion and style, and I think maybe that’s relevant in the sense that she didn’t do fashion, but she certainly does style, and style tends to last longer,” she expertly told The Australian Women’s Weekly magazine in 2022. “You have an individual style, and it’s a quality which has long-term value,” she mused.

Zara Tindall has learned a lot about fashion from her mother

It appears that style is learned, and Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, had the best fashion influence from her mother, exclusively telling HELLO! in 2025: “Mum taught me the importance of having good-quality clothing that keeps you warm and comfortable outdoors,” she remarked.
