This is the ideal size for 4K, in my opinion, and really showcases UHD resolution at its best. What’s great about this size is that it’s more immersive, but also helps it double up as a secondary monitor for everyday usage, watching content, and even design work, where more space can be super useful when working on multiple windows.
MSI OLED Care 2.0 for peace of mind
MSI’s OLED anti-burn-in suite is everything you’d want to help extend your monitor’s lifespan and prevent damage. Essentially, it has a huge heatsink on the monitor itself to control its thermals, and it’s also loaded with technology to identify potential burn-in causes and adjust picture settings before it’s too late. It can, for example, identify static images and reduce brightness, automatically switch on a screen saver when idle, or even shift the entire picture by one pixel frequently to prevent burn-in.
Things to consider
Honestly, this is one of the best gaming monitors you can get, but if you’re spending this much, I’d recommend checking out ASUS ROG options, too, as they’re similarly impressive, and arguably even a little more premium in some regards. I’d also check out dual-resolution models, too, which are even more versatile, and excellent if you want to game in both FHD and 4K, but at incredibly high fps at the former. These are often between $1,000 to $1,400, roughly speaking, and LG UltraGear has some absolutely bangers that are well worth checking out.
