Range Bank celebrates Financial Literacy Month

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – For the month of April, Range Bank will offer financial tips for Financial Literacy Month.

The month-long event is a way to help bring financial tools and knowledge for those seeking help in their finances. Topics such as planning for the future and watching out for potential scams will be covered.

Range Bank’s Community Outreach Coordinator Hanna Westra says many people have an easy time setting financial goals, but many struggle with keeping on track with their goals.

“Set aside time to take a look at your finances, whether it’s weekly or monthly,” Westra said. “Just kind of go back and say ‘okay, this is how much I’ve spent, this is how much I’ve budgeted,’ and where do you stand?”

Westar recommends people make financial literacy a big part their life. She says it should be as much of a habit as brushing your teeth or exercising.
