Another firmware update has just come out for Nintendo Switch and Switch in the form of version 22.1.0.
For the latest patch, our old friend stability has returned. Nintendo says it made the latest improvements in that department for both systems.
The official notice from Nintendo regarding the update is as follows:
Nintendo Switch 2 / Switch update version 22.1.0 patch notes
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
This is likely being released to fix up some loose ends with version 22.0.0. That update released last month and it was the biggest one update yet for Nintendo Switch 2. It included Handheld Mode Boost, Friend List notes (also available on Nintendo Switch 1 as well), and more. We have the full details here.
Most Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch users should find that today’s update will download automatically. However, you can download and install it manually via the system settings.
