Caught on Camera: Omaha thief breaks into gaming machine at bar
Omaha Police are hoping you’ll help solve the case that cost the business about $2,500.
Omaha police are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect who broke into the Rusty Nail bar near 144th and Pacific streets and stole cash from two gaming machines on March 15 around 5 a.m.Surveillance video shows the suspect breaking a window to enter the bar. Initially hesitant, the individual wandered around the patio, left, returned, and eventually climbed through the broken window. It took the suspect only 47 seconds to tamper with the gaming machines and steal the cash boxes. However, the suspect returned moments later to close up the machines. Police are investigating whether the suspect had the proper tools to access the machines. The suspect is covered head to toe with pants, a sweatshirt, shoes, a mask, and a bandana, but he did expose his buttocks during the crime, leading police to believe the person is a white male.
