Greece Industrial Output Growth Slows Sharply in February — TradingView News


Industrial production in Greece rose by 1.8% year-on-year in February 2026, following an upwardly revised 5.7% surge in the prior month.

This marked the sixth consecutive month of growth in industrial activity but the weakest performance in the ongoing streak, solely driven by manufacturing (2.9%).

Notable increases were seen for the manufacture of other transport equipment (36.4%); motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (28.7%); wearing apparel (34.2%); textiles (15.4%) and electrical equipment (14.2%), partly offset by a steep decline in coke and refined petroleum products (-21.7%), among others.

On the other hand output fell for mining & quarrying (-8.4%); electricity supply (-1.4%) and water supply (-1%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production shrank by 0.9%, the first decline in four months, after an upwardly revised 0.8% increase in the month before.
