Wadsworth Student Takes Top Honors at Flagler Schools Science Fair

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — When the experiments were complete and the results carefully judged, one young scientist stood above the rest at the Annual Flagler Schools Fifth Grade Science Fair and Science Competition, held at Buddy Taylor Middle School.

Margaret Reiter, a student at Lewis E. Wadsworth Elementary School, earned first place, rising to the top among 48 of Flagler County’s brightest young minds. Her project secured her the highest honor of the evening, marking a proud moment for her school and community.

The competition showcased an impressive range of scientific exploration, from creative hypotheses to carefully tested experiments, all presented by fifth-grade students representing schools across the district.

Taking second place was Leon Krawczyk of Old Kings Elementary School, followed by his fellow classmate Levi Borg, who placed third. Both students demonstrated strong scientific reasoning and innovation, contributing to a competitive and inspiring event.

Organizers extended a special thanks to the Flagler County Education Foundation for its continued support in making the event possible. Their contributions help provide opportunities for students to engage in hands-on learning and showcase their talents on a larger stage.
