The Jazz are worse off, losing 10 straight, while the Grizzlies are trying to end a six-game losing streak. Memphis has four more wins than Utah this season, while the Jazz currently sit in last place in the Western Conference with a 21-59 record. The Grizzlies are going for the season series victory, up 2-1 after beating Utah 123-114 in Memphis on Feb. 20. Olivier Maxence Prospers led the Grizzlies with 23 points, and GG Jackson added 20 to lead the Grizzlies to the series lead. Utah’s Isaiah Collier led all scorers with 24, and the Jazz were doing well at half, but their lead disappeared by the end of the third, and Memphis pulled away in the fourth. Despite all of Utah’s recent struggles, the Jazz are the 3.5-point favorites at home Friday to tie the series against the injury-depleted Grizzlies.

Cedric Coward still had a great game for Memphis, scoring a game-high 27 points.
Utah has given up 130 or more points in its last four games and lost 156-137 to the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, dropping its 10th straight. Jeremiah Fears set a record for the Pelicans, putting up 40 points, which is the most by a rookie in franchise history. New Orleans was struggling as well, and it ended an eight-game losing streak. Utah had no problem on offense, which was led by Kennedy Chandler, who scored 31 points. At least the Jazz are back at home tonight.
